We Teach Every Style and Flavor of Guitar
The guitar is one of the most versatile and popular instruments around today. Guitars are the staple of most of today’s most popular music genres: rock, pop, country, classical and jazz, just to name a few. The guitar instructors at Bold Music are ready to teach you how to play:
- Electric guitar
- Acoustic guitar
- Bass guitar
- And more!
What’s your style? Strumming some groovy acoustic jazz chords? Or pounding out a bassline to a heavy metal anthem? Name your genre and our instructors will focus on what you want to play so you can reach your goals as quickly as possible.
It’s called “playing” guitar, so our lessons shouldn’t feel like work. We keep the fun in guitar playing by playing the songs and styles that will engage you and keep you entertained. After all, the more you’re having fun the better you’ll practice and learn!
What happens if you miss a lesson? We get it. Life happens. If you can’t make a lesson, we can reschedule, no problem. We don’t want your guitar lessons to become another thing in your life to worry about.
A Few of Our Talented Guitar Instructors
All Ages Are Welcome
Our students range from children to seniors. No matter your age, you can learn this new skill. All you need for our live, personalized virtual lessons is your guitar and an internet connection. We’ll take care of the rest. Our lessons aren’t pre-recorded but live one-on-one tutorials. Just you and your teacher on a video conference call. Children can learn after school, adults can learn during their lunch breaks at work. Whatever works for you is music to our ears!
Children learn best on half-size classical acoustic guitars because they are more comfortable to hold, but our instructors are ready to teach teens and young adults on full-sized electric bass guitars or a full-sized acoustic.
You’re never too young to start learning music, but if your child is too young for one-on-one lessons they can always participate in our Junior Jammers virtual classes for kids every Thursday at 11 a.m. Give your child the cognitive and developmental advantage of learning music at a young age!
All Skill Levels Too!
Your only guitar experience is when you won the air guitar contest in 1989? You’re an experienced rhythm player who wants to learn some lead-guitar techniques? Bold Music’s lessons will wrap around your current skill level and teach you the best form and fingering techniques so that you can continue to improve your skills. You’ll learn:
- Proper fingering
- Reading music
- And more!
Our instructors make learning fun so that you’ll continue to play and learn about this wonderful instrument.
Pro Tip - Remember to Practice!
Our experienced instructors can teach you the way to play classic rock, classical acoustic, and everything in between, but they can only show you the way. It’ll be up to you to practice! Learning guitar involves muscle memory so that your hands intuitively know where the chord fingerings are. So the more you practice, the less you have to think. Get it?
There’s a theory that says you need 10,000 hours of deliberate practice to become an expert in any given field. It’s how the Beatles become one of the greatest bands in rock history! Well, we think 10,000 hours is a bit extreme, but we do ask that you do a few hours between lessons. No guitar god in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame got there by just sitting through a virtual lesson. Rock on!
