How long have you been playing the guitar?
“I’ve been playing guitar for about a year and a half.”
What made you decide to take guitar lessons?
“I chose to take lessons because they are in my house and I’ve always wanted to learn how to play the electric guitar.”
What are some of the coolest songs you’ve learned so far?
“I’d have to say ‘Purple Haze’ by Jimi Hendrix and ‘Say it Ain’t So’ by Weezer.”
What are you currently working on with you instructor?
“We’re actually working on our first jazz song, ‘Autumn Leaves’ because I just auditioned for the jazz band at my school.”
…So, did you make the jazz band?
“Yes I did! I’ll be the guitarist for the jazz band at The Cannon School starting next fall.”
If you could be any famous musician, who would you be and why?
“That’s a tough one. There are so many! I’d have to go with Matt Bellamy of Muse, because I just went to their concert and it was awesome.”
