Meet Mavin Henry!
I’ve been playing drums in bands for 6 years! Some bands were built on structure and very intentional practice, some were jam bands, and some were improvising until we had original songs we loved. I find it most important to play as often as possible, with different intentions behind different sessions. If you’re playing, you’re getting better!
Why I Became A Musician
David Bowie and Pearl Jam when I was younger, and going to smaller live shows as a teenager.
My Memorable Musical Experience
Playing at The Milestone with my current band!
A fun fact about me is...
I have synesthesia!
My advice to someone starting to learn music is...
Find songs you already know and love, and start trying to play them while also breaking down the song into basic music theory concepts.
