Hearing Jimi Hendrix for the first time. The intensity and emotion in his playing really drew me in.

When my college guitar professor/mentor gifted me a guitar in our last lesson. That guitar really symbolizes the whole experience to me.

My advice to someone starting to learn music is...
Spend the majority of your time learning songs. It can be easy to get overwhelmed with information these days. Learning many songs reveals what skills a musician truly needs to focus upon.
