Rachel is a classically trained piano teacher based in Raleigh. Born and raised in China, Rachel began learning electrical keyboard at age 6. From then on she discovered and pursued her potential. At the age of 8, she transitioned to piano, and she passed the highest level of piano grading test by age 9.
Rachel completed a BA in Music Education with a focus on piano from South China Normal University, Guangzhou. She holds a teaching certificate in Chinese.
Continuing to pursue her piano journey overseas in the United States, she completed a MM in Piano Performance from University at Buffalo. During her graduate school years, Rachel performed locally at various venues and with a variety musicians. She also started teaching both children and adults.
Rachel has since moved to Raleigh and is now a piano accompanist for a local religious community. As a teacher she aims to deliver her best understanding of classical piano, get to know students of all ages and backgrounds, and to help them achieve their goals.
