Fred Updegraft

Fred Updegraft is a talented multi-instrumentalist who started playing music at age 5. He began on the piano, taking private lessons from age 5 until the end of high school. He also played and performed extensively on trombone, where he participated in various concert bands, jazz bands, and the marching band.

At age 15, Fred took his talents to the next level and began studying drums and guitar, training under Guitar Center’s 2006 DrumOff winner Daniel Rodriguez, and session musician Al Sergel.

He has over 7 years of live stage experience, performing alongside his father, Leonard Jones, and others at Morningstar Ministries, Abundant Hope Church, and other locations. Fred also has an impressive teaching resume, teaching over 100 students over the years on guitar, bass, drums and piano. He brings a fun, well-rounded approach to music education.
